Jacqueline, the first daughter, married Michel de Forest in 1686 at the age of 13. Michel’s great uncle, Jesse De Forest was the founder of New York. Michel was widowed from Marie Hébert and 47 years old when he married Jacqueline. They had one child, a girl, Marguerite, born 1687, who married Étienne Comeau in 1701. Michel de Forest died in 1690 and Jacqueline married a second time to Guillaume Trahan the same year. They had eight children, six boys and two girls. Guillaume died in 1755 before the Deportation. However, Marguerite was one of its victims and died in the autumn of 1755 either shortly before or shortly after her arrival in Virginia. Virginia refused to accept the Acadians, and they were sent to Liverpool, England, and held prisoners. Many of the children of Guillaume and Marguerite ended up in Liverpool, where at least three of them died. The others eventually made it back to France after their release at the end of the Seven Years War (known as the French and Indian War).
