Facts and Events
Jane Palmer was baptised on 19th July 1840 at Glapthorn in Northamptonshire, daughter of Rainey Palmer, formerly Smith, and her husband Daniel Palmer, a carpenter and agricultural labourer. Jane may have been a couple of years old when baptised; in the following year's census she was described as three years. In the 1841 census she was living with her parents, siblings and several other people at Glapthorn. She was still living with her parents and siblings ten years later for the 1851 census.
Jane's mother Rainey died in 1860, when Jane was about 20 years old. The 1861 census finds Jane working as a housekeeper and living with her widower father and younger siblings. She has yet to be researched after 1861.
