A marriage license was issued 22 December 1830 by the court clerk of Harrison co., Ohio, to Samuel Smiley and Jane Carothers. They were married 23 December 1830, in Harrison co., by Rev. Thomas Hanna.

In 1840, Jane and two children were enumerated for the U.S. census.

A marriage license was issued 18 November 1840 by the court clerk of Harrison co., Ohio, to James Perry and Jane Smiley (née Carothers). They were married 19 November 1840, in Harrison co., by James Kerr V.D.M.

Death and Probate

Jane died 1 February 1897, and she was buried in Riverside Cemetery, in Cheney's Grove township.[1]
