Often Confused With:

James Walker of Adams County, Ohio (This is his first cousin once removed)

Overview

This James is often confused with his first cousin once removed, James Walker, who was of similar age and later moved to Adams County, Ohio. He served in the Revolutionary War with his brother Samuel under James Patton[1]

James Walker died young, falling off a horse according to church records[2]. In his will Robert Walker Robert Walker refers to a daughter Mary Walker. Mary may not have been a biological daughter but a daughter in law. This idea is further supported by her reference as "Widow Walker" in church death records[3] This page takes the position that this is the case, and Mary Walker is the wife of James.
