Thomas1), born 29 January 1710/11 in Farmington, Connecticut (Barbour citing LR 2:111), baptized 4 February 1711 (Farmington First Congregational Church Records, slip index citing 1:133, 2:131, NEHGR 38:278); and died there 16 December 1785 in the 75th year of his age (Barbour citing LR 22:282, 476; Farmington First Congregational Church Records, slip index citing 3:17). … The will of James Thompson [sic], dated 10 March 1783 and proved 15 February 1786, named his wife Martha; son Abel; three daughters Mary Whitman, Martha Lewis, and Hulda Judd; and grandson James Thompson. Son Abel and wife Martha were appointed executors. A distribution made by the heirs 'all of lawful age' is dated 21 March 1786, and signed by Martha Thomson, Abel Thomson, Solm Whitman, Jr., Elijah Lewis, James Judd, Jr., Mary Whitman, Martha Lewis, and Huldah Judd (Farmington Probate District, Connecticut Estate Files, docket no. 2702)."
