An Engagement announcement was published in the New York Times newspaper, dated 4 July 1920. It reads:

“ENGAGEMENTS. Mr. and Mrs. Robert Otis Brigham of Boston announce the engagement of their daughter, Miss Margaret Brigham, to James Daniel Seaver of Brooklyn. Miss Brigham graduated from St. Mary’s School at Peekskill. Mr. Seaver, who graduated from Hamilton College, class of ’17, served two years in France with the American air service. The wedding will take place on July 24 at the Summer home of the bride’s parents at Cooperstown, N.Y.”

BIOGRAPHY: Grad. Hamilton College Clinton NY class of 1917. Lieut. in Army Air Service during World War. qualified as a pursuit pilot and was sent to France in fall of 1918, but did not see active service. Now in the employ of Harris Forbes & Co, Boston MA. While in college he was editor of "Hamilton Life" the college paper and won a prize in oratory. Member Pentagon, and Psi Upsilon fraternity. Member St. Phillips P.E. Church, Brooklyn NY.
