J. Michael Schneider December 4, 1953 - December 31, 2009

J. Michael Schneider, 56, of Logan, passed away Thursday, December 31, 2009 at Grant Medical Center in Columbus. He was born December 4, 1953, in Piqua, Ohio, son of James B. and Eleanora Massie Schneider of St. Paris, Ohio. Michael was married to Patsi Schultheiss Schneider, who survives.

He graduated from Ohio Northern University in 1977 where he was a member of Phi Kappa Theta Fraternity was chief pharmacist at CVS for 30 years, was a member of the Logan Jaycees, he coached Bobcat Basketball, was a member of the Board of Directors at Hocking Valley Community Hospital, was a member of Immanuel United Methodist Church and loved to play golf.

In addition to his parents and wife, Michael is survived by a son, David Schneider; a daughter, Hannah Schneider; a sister, Laura (Paul) Medaugh of Dresden, several nieces and nephews and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral services will be held 11 A.M., Wednesday, January 6, 2010 in the Immanuel United Methodist Church, 66 E. Hunter St., Logan with Rev. Gerald Frazee officiating. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Logan. Friends may call at the Cardaras Funeral Home, 183 E. Second St., Logan, on Tuesday, from 2-4 and 6-8 P.M. and one hour prior to the services at the church on Wednesday.

The family suggests memorial contributions be made in memory of J. Michael Schneider, to the Muscular Dystrophy Association, PO Box 78960, Phoenix, AZ 85062-8960.
