JAMES & MARIA first appear on a marriage record at the Brunswick St. Methodist church in 1838, He lived in Dartmouth at the time. They are named on Fredericks birth record and on baptisms in Fox point, Chester from December 1843 to 1851. He shows as living at 87 City St., Halifax, in 1868 but not in 1869. None of the family are in the 1871 Halifax census. Frederick appears in Saint John, N.B. in 1871. Maria shows up in Saint John as a widow in 1891 census. James appears in the City directory 1888-1891 at Marsh Creek on Frederick St., He died there in 1890.
