James married Ermal Goins (1908-1994) on 2 Feb 1930 in Vigo County, IN. They had no children. In 1930 he was Car Wrecker Department Manager in Terre Haute. In 1935 he lived in Terre Haute. He worked for Lost Creek Trader in used auto parts in 1940. By 1955, when his father died he was living in Colorado and did so until at least 1963. However, he and Erma both died in Terre Haute.
