Obituary JAMES WALTER EDWARDS Mr. James Walter Edwards, a former citizen of Woodlawn, died at the home of his son Mr. Richard F. Edwards in Nevada March 8th, where he had spent the last eleven years of his life. He was 86 years old. The funeral services were conducted March 12th at his old home near Woodlawn where his daughter, Mrs. Bruce Williams, now lives. Interment was made in the old family grave yard near Woodlawn. The services were conducted by Revs. Alex Cox and Nibs of Coal Creek and Forest Oak. One of the most beautiful and appropriate parts of the service was a song sung by Mr. Richard Edwards as he stood by the graves of his parents. He had composed this song himself in honor of them. Mr. Richard Edwards of Nevada, Mo., and Mrs. Bruce Williams of Woodlawn are the only surviving members of the family. Fifteen grandchildren and a few great grandchildren are also left.
