James Doughty James Maloy Doughty, 89, of the Pilot Oak community near Wingo, Ky., died Oct. 1, 2004, at Murray-Calloway County (Ky.) Hospital.

Services were held 2 p.m. Sunday at Hornbeak Funeral Home in Fulton, followed by Masonic graveside services at Pilot Oak Baptist Cemetery.

The Rev. Kevin Keeling officiated at the funeral.

He was born Jan. 31, 1915, in Hickman County, Ky., son of the late Thomas Franklin and Ida Faye (Duke) Doughty. He was a self-employed carpenter and a farmer and had lived in this area all his life.

He was a member of Pilot Oak Baptist Church and Mayfield (Ky.) Masonic Lodge No. 369.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Pauline (Whitt) Doughty; two daughters, Dolores Jane Cleek of Troy and Sheila McKinney of Pilot Oak; three sons, Dwayne M. Doughty of Barrington, Ill., Jimmie Wayne Doughty of Troy and Eric Shawn Doughty of Wingo; 16 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; four sisters, Lomega Allen of Fulton, Rosa Fulcher of Ruthville and Amy Haygood and Ruthie Prince, both of Martin; and two brothers, Ellis Doughty of Missouri and Troy Doughty of California.

He was also preceded in death by two grandchildren and two brothers, Treal Doughty and William Glenn Doughty.
