JAMES CRUMRINE - James Crumrine, a prominent farmer of Monroe Twp., died suddenly at his home last Friday evening. After eating his supper he took his gun and went out to where his dog had a groundhog, telling his wife he was going to shoot it. The dog came to the house shortly after and when Mrs. Crumrine went to look for her husband, she found him lying lifeless near the barn. Coroner DP Host held an inquest and pronounced the death due to heart failure. Mr Crumrine was 68 years old and was one of the best citizens of the township, a Christian man, a member of Plum Run Church. Besides his wife who was Catherine Dixon of Cincinnati, his is survived by two daughters, Mrs, Charles B. Miller of Monroe Twp. and Mrs. Fred Carrothers of Dennison. REV. S.T. WALTER
James married Catherine DIXON, daughter of John DIXON and Rebecca DUNLOP, on 1 September 1870. (Catherine DIXON was born on 26 September 1853 in Cincinnati, Hamilton Co., Ohio 1 and died on 13 December 1937 in Uhrichsville, Tuscarawas Co., Ohio.)
