    General Notes:

    CARRIE LAURA CRUMRINE

Carrie Laura Crumrine, after a lingering illness of eighteen months passed to the great beyond at the home of her parents, Mr and Mrs James Crumrine, November 25, 1904. She was born August 2, 1880, 24 years, 3 months, and 22 days. Though a great suffering she never complained, but bore all with faith.
She was tenderly cared for by her kind mother and sisters, but despite the wish of all and despite the best of care, disease preyed upon her until she was no longer able to withstand its ravages, when God took her where the is no pain nor suffering but all peace and joy.
She leaves a devoted mother and two sisters, and a host of friends to mourn her sad death. Carrie became a member of the Plum Run Methodist Church at the age of thirteen years and was a faithful and devoted Christian to the last, and on her death bed the sunshine spread over her and all knew that she was at one with her God.
Her remains were conveyed to Plum Run M.E. Church where an appropriate sermon was preached by Rev. Boetcher-8th chapter and 52 verse:
"And all wept and bewailed her but He said weep not, she is not dead but sleepeth". Beautiful music rendered by Messrs. H. Birney and Dick, Misses Lillie Parker, (unr.) and Mrs. Pearle Brown. There was an array of beautiful flowers among which was a wreath of lasting laurel sent from friends in Cincinnati, after which all that was mortal of Carrie was laid to rest in the Plum Run Cemetery.
