In the police records we find a first birth date: 22 July 1894 in Amsterdam. We can confirm his birth via a search on familysearch [1]. Here Jacobus Petrus Steenman was registered in his birth certificate as being born on 22 July 1894 at 9 p.m. in the house of his parents at the Albert Cuypstraat 163. His parents are Jacobus Gerardus Steenman (servant, 33, Amsterdam) and Anna Marie Elisabeth Sluijter (no occupation).

Marriage

On 4 January 1923 Jacobus Petrus Steenman (electricien, 28, Amsterdam) married Petronella Flipse (25, Amsterdam). His parents are Jacobus Gerardus Steenman (electricien, 61, living in Amsterdam) and Anna Maria Elisabeth (53, no occupation, living in Amsterdam). Her parents are Johannes Martinus Flipse (cook, 56, living in Amsterdam) and Aagje Hofman (passed away). Witnesses to this marriage are: Johannes Jacobus Gerardus Steenman (insurer, 31) and Gerardus Johannes Joseph Steenman (shop servant, 30), both brothers of Jacobus Petrus Steenman [2].

We find a second registration on 11 November 1942 at 3:30 p.m. where jacobus Petrus Steenman, 48 years old, electricien, living at the Slingerbeekstraat 28 reports theft of his bicycle from the courtyard of his house. He suspects nobody.[4]

Death

On his persoonskaart we find a notation that on 28 March 1981 Jacobus Petrus Steenman died. This was signed of by a coroner, which means that the circumstances of his death were regarded as not natural.
