(4) Jacob McNiel, Jr., (b. July 4, 1797, d, 1872} youngest son of Jacob McNeal, Sr., went to Pocahontas Co., lived with his brothers, m. Elizabeth Auldridge. He brought his family to Franklin ca. 1829, and settled on a 54 acre tract which, on Aug. 25, 1842, he sold to Joseph Altick, and moved to Floyd. Jacob Jr., and Elizabeth Auldridge McNiel had issue:
James Ireson (b. May 31, 1822, d. Mar. 9, 1904) m. Lydia Smith; William Burrell (b. Oct. 31, 1823, d. 1905) m. (1) Ellen Martin, and (2) Rebecca Sink; Mary{ Elizabeth; Samuel Auldridge (b. Sept. 18, 1843, d. Jan. 31, 1915} m. Dec. 23 1868, Sarah Elizabeth Poff (b. Ma¥ 9, 1850, d. Dec. 18, 1898); Charles, who d. infant; Henry m. {lJ Jane Manning, (2) Fannie Webb, and (3) Mary Smith; and Nancy m. William Kennett McNiel.
