American Revolution Soldier, Pvt., Continental Line under Capt. Landick & Capt. Lindermate. Applied for a pension on November 20, 1832. Awarded $30.00 per annum, back dated to March 4, 1831.

Jacob, Jr. changed the spelling of the family name from FAust to FOust after going to Ohio in 1800.

Issue 6 of the FAust/FOust Family Forum states that Jacob Faust was appointed Guardian of Christina when her father died. They were married when she was 14 and had 11 children, 8 sons and 3 daughters.

Jacob Foust (Brother of David Foust) came to Ohio in a very early day, as early as 1800, and lived in Salt Creek township, Pickaway county, OH for a number of years, on Section twenty-five, when he moved to Delaware county, seven miles above the village of Delaware. He finally settled near Cardington, Morrow (then Marion) county, where he died in 1842, his wife surviving him some three years. Jacob was buried at Foust Cemetery, ("The Mound"), Westfield, Morrow county, OH. [History of Franklin and Pickaway Counties] 1880 Williams Bros.
