Helped his father (Jacob 1757-1841) cut out a home in the wilderness of Delaware Co., OH in 1807.

Fought in War of 1812.

In 1808 David Foust, settled where Adelphi now stands,and a few years later moved to Circleville. He built the old court house there. He finally returned to Salt Creek and died there. He was the father of 10 children. "History of Franklin and Pickaway counties" Published in 1880 by Williams Brothers.
