Not to be confused with another Jacob Bumgardner that appears to have married (1) Rebecca Patterson 1813 in Augusta County, VA and (2) Margaret "Peggy" Moyer 1818 in Wythe County, VA. Some internet trees and also Find-A-Grave have combined them both into a single person without looking at the records that clearly show them as separate persons. Also, this Jacob Bumgardner would have only been 16 years old in 1813, so he certainly would NOT have been able to marry Rebecca Patterson in 1813. - Jacob Bumgardner. DIED. --- At his residence, three miles below Hanging Rock, on Tuesday, the 21st inst., of typhoid pneumonia, Mr. Jacob Bumgardner, in the 79th year of his age.
