Isaac Ferree was the great grandson of Madam Ferree born in Maryland in 1769, the son of Philip and Sarah Evans Ferree.

He married Fannie Dawson September 19,1806 in Bracken County, Kentucky. They had seven children.

About 1809 Isaac and his brother, John went to Clermont County, Ohio from Bracken County, Kentucky. In 1810, Isaac settled on a farm in Clermont County and was one of the first school teachers in Stonelick Township. He died in 1824 in Clermont County respected by all for his qualifications as a teacher and citizen.
