IMOGENE SPRINGER, age 85, of Joplin, Mo., passed away at 11:37 a.m. Tuesday, January 17, 2012, at Freeman Hospital West in Jopline, following a short illness.
Imogene was born July 18, 1926, in Erie, Kansas, and lived in Joplin for the past 11 years, moving here from Grove, Oklahoma. Imogene and her husband owned and operated the Park Motel in Cherryvale, Kan. for 22 years, retiring in 1978, and moving to Grove. She was a member of the Cornerstone Christian Church of Joplin and volunteered with A.R.M. Ministry.
Imogene married Jean Douglas Springer December 2, 1946, in Hailey, Idaho. He preceded her in death on December 3, 2000.
Survivors include two sons, Scott Springer and wife Sandy, Jopline and Jerry Springer, Bixby, Oklahome; four grandchildren, Jeff Springer and wife Grave, Todd Springer and wife Dana,
Stephanie Morehead and husband, Darin and Steven Springer, and four great grand children, Brittany, Aldan, Corey nd Ava.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Saturday at the Mason-Woodard Chapel with Allen Brinnall, officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Hope Cemetery in Galesburg, Kansas. The family will receive friends immediately after the service.
