    OBIT: CALVIN C 'CAL' CRUMRINE, passed away at a local care facility in Klamath Falls on Thursday Feb. 14, 2008. He was 79.

    Viewing will be held at Eternal Hills Funeral Home on Wednesday, Feb. 20, 2008 from 1 to 2 p.m. followed by a graveside service at Eternal Hills. A reception will follow the service.

    Cal was born Dec. 15, 1928 to Norman and Charlotte (Blair) Crumrine. He moved to Idaho at a young age. Following school, Cal went to work for the power company in Idaho as a lineman before entering the U.S.Army in Korea. He served until before being honorably discharged. Following his military service, Cal returned to Idaho and to the power company He later moved to Roseburg and began work for copco. While there at a dance he met Erma Geislinger. The two courted for two years and were married on Oct. 4,1954 in Reno, Nevada. Thanksgiving Day 1955 they moved to Klamath Falls where Cal began what would be a 38-plus year career with Pacific Power & Light as a lineman then retiring as forman.
    He loved to hunt and fish and always had a beautiful garden. Cal also liked to play the guitar he received as a gift from his crew, and a harmonica.

    Survivors include his wife, Erma of Klamath Falls, stepdaughter, Peggy Davis of Klamath Falls, sister Imogene (Crumrine) Springer of Joplin, Missouri, step-grandchildren Kim Lindow
    and her husband Clink of Boise, Idaho and their children Hudson and Eva, step-granddaughter Jennifer Whitsett of Seatle, Wash. and numberous neices and nephews. He ws preceded in death by his brothers, Abe, Don & Jim and a sister Norma Lee (Crumrine) Fine, and two step children Frances and Charlotte.

    Eternal Hills Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

    He was buried in the Eternal Hills Memorial Gardens, Klamath Falls, Oregon
