I don't know that I was able to locate Salome Sawyer's husband. I found 2 Ira Sawyers buried in Van Aucken Cemetery in Whiteford Township. The first is Ira Sawyer died May 20, 1846 age 35 years and 3 months. The second is Ira L. son of J. & S. Sawyer died August 22, 1850 age 7 years 11 months. Now, these records were copied off the tombstones so is Ira L. the son of J. & S. or I. & S. since weathering, etc. can alter appearance of letters on tombstones. Ira Sawyer is listed as an early landowner in Whiteford Township, getting letters-patent September 10, 1833. [NOTE: photo of Ira L's tombstone from Violet Hogan shows "Ira L son of I and S Sawyer" but the days are obliterated]; Van Aucken Cemetery Records.
