  Miss Ida H. Tunis, daughter of Mrs. K. H. Tunis of Morganville, was married to Charles A. Fort of Atlantic Highlands on Tuesday of last week. The ceremony was performed at the bride's home by Rev. J. Hoffman Batten of Matawan, assisted by Rev. J. B. Haines of Atlantic Highlands. The bride wore a gown of white silk.

   A quiet home wedding was solemnized Tuesday, January 25, at Morganville, when Mr. Charles A. Fort, a contractor and ? of Atlantic Highlands, and Miss Ida H. Tunis, daughter of the late Joseph L. Tunis, were united in marriage. Because of the recent death of the bride's father, only the immediate relatives of the contracting parties were present. The ceremony was performed by Rev. J. Hoffman Batten of Matawan, assisted by Rev. John H. Haines of Atlantic Highlands, after which an elegant wedding dinner was served. The future home of the happy couple will be in Atlantic Highlands, where Mr. Fort, a son of the late Rev. Jacob P. Fort of Newark Conference, is a highly respected citizen and a prominent leader in the work of the Methodist Episcopal Church.

  Mrs. Charles A. Fort of Atlantic Highlands died at a sanitarium at Philadelphia on May 29 from the effects of a surgical operation for the removal of a tunor of the stomach. The operation was performed on the Friday previous and it was expected she would recover. Mr. Fort left for home and the next evening he received a telegram that his wife was sinking rapidly. He did not reach Philadelphia until after her death.
  Mrs. Fort was formerly Miss Ida H. Tunis and lived at Morganville with her parents, Mrs. Kate and the late Joseph L. Tunis. She was married about four months ago and removed to Atlantic Highlands, the home of her husband. Mrs. Tunis accompanying her. She was 35 years old and besides her husband and mother, leaves a sister, Miss Mamie Tunis. The funeral was held at Atlantic Highlands on June 1 and interment was in Bay View Cemetery.

[not right one] OBIT: RED BANK, N. J., WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 27, 1895, Mrs. Charles A. Fourt died at Atlantic Highlands on Saturday morning, aged about 35 years. She was the wife of Charles A, Fourt and the daughter of Joseph Johnson of Navesink. Her death was caused by consumption, with which she had been sick a year. She was a prominent member of the Methodist church and took an active part in church work. She leaves one child. Her funeral was held yesterday from the church and was very largely attended. The services were conducted by Rev. J. B. Haines, the paster of the church, assisted by Rev.W. W, Ridgley of Navesink. The interment was in Bay View cemetery.
