Alifelong resident of Madison County, he was an an Army veteranof World War II and was an auto-mot-ive mechanic. He was amember of Pine Grove Baptist Church in Madison. He is survivedby his wife, Trudie Kiser of Madison; two stepsons, Jimmy Purvisof Lake City and Lonnie Purvis of Live Oak; a brother, E.P.Kiser of Seattle; and two sisters, Evelyn Sutton of Clyattville,Ga., and Bertha Bruton of Jacksonville.
