Howard F. Coble June 20 CLEARWATER, Fla. — Howard F. Coble, 73, of Clearwater, died peacefully Sunday, June 17, 2007, under the care of family and friends.

He was born in Graham, N.C., and moved to Clearwater in 1959 as an electrical engineer for Honeywell. He completed a 31 year career at Honeywell as Director of Programs, Military and Avionics Division. He was a graduate of E. M. Holt High School and North Carolina State Uni-versity. His passions were his family, photography, road racing, and travel. He served in the U.S. Army from 1953 – 1956.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Libby; daughter, Beth Heitman; two sons, Fred and Will; three brothers, Willard, Gene, and Ronnie; two sisters, Margaret Burgess and Paulette McPherson; and four grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, June 23, 2007, at the Mount Hermon United Methodist Church. Reception will follow at the Coble family home, 1262 Antioch Church Road.

His passions were his family, photography, NASCAR racing, and travel. He served in the U.S. Army from 1953 – 1956. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Clearwater, Fla.

He was the son of the late Fred Martin Coble and Vivian Bulla Coble.

Survivors include his wife of 52 years, Elizabeth “Libby” Dorsett; daughter, Beth Heitman and husband, Bill; two sons, Fred and Will and wife, Kit; three brothers, Willard, Gene and wife, Gloria, and Ronnie and wife, Sherry; two sisters, Margaret Burgess and Paulette McPherson and husband, Steve; four grandchildren, Scott and Andrew Heitman and Ben and Chris Coble; and several nieces and nephews.
