    Horace B. Sawyer enlisted in the 18 U.S. Infantry in Capt. Thompson's Company G. He was discharged at Lookout Mountain, Tennessee. He was 5' 9 1/2" with light complexion, brown hair and brown eyes. His left arm was injured in the Battle of Chickamaugua, Georgia on 19 September 1965.

Sawyer and the other one-half upon the children, being the children of Horace B Sawyer and Minnie E Sawyer, the heirs of the one being the heirs of the other; that said children are as follows: - Clara A Endicott, Lydia Emrick, Grace Parkison, and Dencie Holter, daughters, and Reuben H Sawyer, Wesley b Sawyer, Ira L Sawyer and Sherman S Sawyer, sons.
