Oswego Daily Times, 16 June 1890: AMBOY CENTER The remains of Homer Durgee, son of Mr. and Mrs. James H. Durgee, were brought from Geneva June 5 to this place for interment. Homer was a thoughtful, studious boy and overstudy injured his mind. His parents placed him under the care of eminent physicians in Utica but all to no purpose. Had Homer regained his right mind, he would have made a man that any parent might well have been proud of.
