    Hezekiah was the son of William Rorie and Judah Butler. In 1798 in Anson County, North Carolina, he married Elizabeth Milbury "Milbrey" Williams. Hezekiah Rorie was an early settler in the Indian Mound area by 1803 from White Store, Anson County, North Carolina. Hezekiah and Elizabeth had the following children: Reuben, John, William Hezekiah, James Lee "Jimmy," Asa, and Jemonie.
