DEATH: Herbert Young CULLOWHEE-- Services for Herbert O. Young, 75 of the John's Creek Community, who died Wednesday, will be held at 2 p.m. today in John's Creek Babtist Church, of which he was a deacon and member. The Rev.s Carl Smith and Sterlling Melton will officiate. Burial will be in Brown Cemetery. 

  He was a native and lifelong resident of Jackson County and was a retired farmer.
   Surviving are five sons, Jack and Edgar Young of the home, Walter Young of Sylva, Hayes Young of Lancaster, S.C., and Woodrow Young of Lyman, Wash.; five daughters, Mrs. Edna Coggins and Mrs. Gladys Webb of Cullowhee, Mrs. Ruby Melton of Sylva, Mrs. Emma Jean Queen of Sedro-Woolley, Wash., and Mrs. Lois Conner of Myrle Beach, S.C.; five brothers, Charles Young of Maggie Valley, Richard Young of Largo, Fla., and Theodore, Hughes and Jess Young of Brevard; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Mease and Mrs. Rose Hooper of Brevard; 23 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
  The body will remain at Moody Funeral Home, Sylva, until placed in the church for the services.
  Pallbearers will be A.B. Shular, Luther Sutton, Luther Queen, Gene Maynor, Danny Davis and Billy Bradley.
