Facts and Events
Henry went to Phillips Andover Academy in MA, and then Yale. When his mother would not let him take a summer tour with Yale to play baseball, he quit college and went to work for the family's lumber business. He and Amy lived on a farm on Robbins Hill, Chelmsford, MA, where all the children except Catharine were born. They moved to Lowell where they owned four house lots on Oakland and Hawthorne St., which turned into a family complex. For a short time they lived in Davis, WV, in about 1904-5. CORRECTION - Henry attended two semesters of college at Amherst College, not Yale. Graduated class of 1885 from Phillips Andover and started in the class of 1885 at Amherst.
