Funeral services for the late Henry A. Swander, a former Dekalb county farmer, were held Saturday morning at Sixteen church north of Garrett, with the Rev. O. B. Noren, pastor of the St. Mark's Lutheran church of Auburn officiating, and interment was made in Sixteen cemetery.

Mr. Swander passed away Tuesday at his home in Columbus, O., after a brief illness with pneumonia. The body accompanied by the widow, arrived in Corunna Thursday evening and was removed to the home of his stepfather, Norris Friend, who lives four miles north of Garrett. Mr. Swander was born in Richland township Oct. 11, 1864, and removed to Columbus five years ago. He was married on Jan. 21, 1903, to Laura Etta Cydrus of Columbus. A sister, Mrs. Mary Callahan of LaGrange, also survives. (Re: Obituary Book, vol 2, page 41)
