Obituary

Henry Franklin Sherer, 74, of Route 2, Elida, former maintenance supervisor for the Shell Oil Co., died in Memorial hospital at 12:30 p.m. Monday. Death followed a brief illness.

Mr. Sherer retired in 1941.

Surviving are his widow, Elnora Mae Sherer; four sons, Odes O., Route 2, Lima; Howard L., 750 Holly-st; James M., Dearborn, Mich., and William M., 607 E. Vine-st; five daughters, Mrs. Arnold Stirn, 502 King-av; Mrs. Arnold C. Trempert, Route 5; Mrs. Clara Hughes, 540 S. Main-st; Mrs. Roy Collins, 723 Sidney and Mrs. Robert Dukro, 404 S. Atlantic-av; 30 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Abram L., Route 1, Spencerville; Floyd Sherer, Route 7, Marion; three sisters, Mrs. John Wilkins, 710 S. Metcalf-st; Mrs. David Heiss, Delphos; Mrs. Fred Sites, Route 1, Spencerville.

The body will be removed from C. B. Miller and Son funeral home, Spencerville, to the residence late Tuesday afternoon to remain until services at 10:30 a.m. Thursday in the Olive Chapel Methodist church, Converse. The Rev. Samuel Keller of Lima will officiate, and burial will be in Wright cemetery.
