Obituary

ELIDA - Elnora M. Sherer, 78, Rt. 1, Shope Rd., Elida, died at St. Rita's Hospital Saturday at 11 p.m. after an illness of several months.

Born in Van Wert County, April 15, 1882, she was the daughter of Vincent and Nancy (Masters) Hance.

She married Henry Franklin Sherer in 1900, who preceded her in death in 1952.

She is survived by four sons, Odes O., Rt. 2, Cridersville; Howard L., 750 Holly; James M., Dearborn, Mich.; William M., 607 E. Vine; five daughters, Mrs. A. J. (Alice) Stirn, 500 King; Mrs. A. C. (Bernice) Trempert, 590 Lutz; Mrs. Clara Hughes, 540 S. Main; Mrs. Norma Collins, 516 Ottawa; Mrs. R. C. (Bonnie) Dukro, 404 S. Atlantic; one sister, Mrs. Daisy Welker, Elgin; 29 grandchildren, 51 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Olive Chapel Methodist Church at Converse, with Rev. Ralph Wagoner and Rev. Elon D. Stirn officiating. Burial will be in Wright Cemetery near Converse.

The body will remain at the residence on Shope Road near Elida where friends may call.

Arrangements are under the direction of the C. B. Miller and Son Funeral Home of Spencerville.
