Larry:Great website! I think I found an error on the Strouse Family link. #142 Jacob Strouse, born Aug 16, 1783, Keller's Church, died Nov 1, 1869. You indicate he married Maria Barbara Lear and that they are both buried in St. Luke's Union Cemetery. This Jacob Strouse was my great-great grandfather. His wife was Catherine Harwick, born Apr 15, 1804, and died Jun 22, 1882. They are buried next to each other in St. Luke’s Cemetery. I have the cemetery cards and a photo of their tombstones if you want them. You do have “Catherine, relict of Jacob,” listed corrected on the Death and Marriage link.I have pictures of my great-grandmother, Mary Amanda Strouse, her sister Frannie, and brother Jacob if you would like to add them to your Strouse collection. I also have Amanda and Clinton’s family bible. There are some pictures in the back of people I always thought might be Strouses. Perhaps you would be able to identify them for me.Under the Hillpot link, #3844, Susanna Hillpot, born Jul 19, 1850, who married Jesse L. Ahlum, his death date was blank. Jesse Ahlum died in 1909 and is buried in Lower Tinicum Lutheran Church. Jesse is also my great-great grandfather.I saw the picture of Rev. Joseph Hillpot (#3842) on your website. My great-grandfather, Clinton S. Lerch, was a justice of the peace in Tinicum Township and kept a diary for 60 years. The Hillpot name is mentioned often so I looked for something specific on Joseph and found this entry made by Clinton on Saturday, 31 January 1874: “Today Reverand Afflerbach had some mishap befell him as he was left dead on the spot. How it happened no one knows at present. Joseph Hillpot presided in his place.”Finally, while looking at the Henry Kline Overpeck family photo taken ~1904, I thought I would see what my great-grandfather wrote about Henry K. Overpeck (Oberbeck). There were four entries. 1. On Friday, 27 December 1872 he wrote “We went up to Henry Oberbeck’s and took Catherine Steely home with us. 2. On Friday, 18 May 1877 he wrote, “To-day we were making worm fence all day and finished that between the two grain fields and between the main field and the corn. Then between us and Henry Oberbeck and Peter F. Kilmer.” 3. On Tuesday, 22 October 1895 he wrote, “I went to Henry Oberbeck for my meat cask.” 4. On Saturday, 5 October 1907, he wrote: “This forenoon I were to Doylestown and probated the will of Henry K. Oberpeck. “You mentioned gratitude to Tom Myers for some of your information. I know Tom Myers from my visits to the Spruance Library and also for his valuable help in my family search. He is a wealth of information!Sandy Butch <mailto:sandyb@fast.net> 3/18/02 This is an automatically generated Delivery Status Notification.Delivery to the following recipients failed. 23 Apr 2008sandyb@fast.net <mailto:sandyb@fast.net>http://www.larryhillpot.com/guestbook_display.asp?startat=550
