My Mother Henrietta Southam, née Cargill, was very sociable by nature, and had several close women friends with whom she played mah jong weekly. She met Wilson because her father was a Tory MP, and she lived in Ottawa when Parliament was in session. Her life was forever saddened by the death of her eldest son William, aged 23, in a car crash.
