Both were members of the Dutch Church in New Utrecht at the time of its organization but shortly after the baptism of their eldest child they moved to Staten Island. In later years, the family moved to Bucks County, Pennsylvania, where, in 1710, "Hendrick Van Dyck and his wife Jannetye Hermense" were received by certificate as members in the church at Bensalem .(Pub. of Gen.
