Facts and Events
Baptized July 2, 1653 in the New York Dutch Church. At the time of their marriage both Hendrick and Jannetje were residing in New Utrecht but she is recorded as from "Borkelo in Earldom Sutphen" and he as of Staten Island. Both were members of the Dutch Church in New Utrecht at the time of its organization but shortly after the baptism of their eldest child they moved to Staten Island. In later years, the family moved to Bucks County, Pennsylvania, where, in 1710, "Hendrick Van Dyck and his wife Jannetye Hermense" were received by certificate as members in the church at Bensalem .(Pub. of Gen. Soc. of Pa., v.5, p. 34). References
