Disputed lineage

A book published in 1912[1] claims that he was the son of Jan Thomasse Van Dyck and Tryntje Haegen, but more recent research (cited in Find A Grave) does not mention him.

The only mention of a Lambert/Lammert Van Dyck in this time period in the New York Genealogical and Biographical Record is Lammert Van Dyck who married Marretje Hooglant and had children in the 1700's.
