Helen A. Smith

CORTLAND - Helen A. Smith, 88, died at 11:50 p.m. Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2005, at St. Joseph Health Center.
She was born Oct. 2, 1916, in Johns[t]on Township, a daughter of James B. and Bessie Kline Winans.
Mrs. Smith was employed at Biggin's Furniture Store and was a member of Bazetta Christian Church.
She is survived by two sons, Ronald H. of Andover and Donald E. of Hubbard; two daughters, Betty Gearhart of Cortland and Ruth Ann Nardi of Thurmond, Md.; 13 grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Harold T. Smith, two brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Selby Cole Funeral Home/Crown Hill Chapel where friends may call one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at Crown Hill Burial Park.
