  13. ↑ "In Angola, Indiana, March 2, 1894, Helen Thayer, wife of Simon Ritter,aged 51 years, five months and 16 days.
    Deceased was born in Steuben County and was married to Simon Ritter,August 23, 1858. She leaves to mourn their loss, a husband, four sons,and three daughters. Mrs. Ritter had been for years and intense yetpatient suffer with cancer. For more than 20 years she was a consistentChristian, a member of the UB church until two years ago when she unitedwith the M. E. Church in Angola. Funeral services were held Sundayconducted by Rev. L. M. Kreiter, and her body was interred in the MountZion Cemetery six miles southwest of Angola."
