She had been in failing health since returning here from Nairobi in October 1951. Miss Collins had been a Seventh Day Adventist missionary in Africa for two and a half years. Prior to that she had taught in schools in the United States. She was born Jan. 27, 1915 in Vienna, a daughter of Eugene and Clara Coe Collins. She attended the Seventh Day Adventist Church school here, Union Springs Academy, and was graduated from Camden High School and Atlantic Union College, South Lancaster MA. Subsequently, Miss Collins taught in Rome, Norridgewock ME, Union Springs Academy, and prior to going to East Africa she served for two and a half years on the faculty of Adelphi Academy, Holly, Mich. She leaves her parents, three sisters, Mrs. Harold Claus and Mrs. William Barclay, both of Vienna, and Mrs. Ellsworth Scott, Blossvale; a brother, Cornelius Collins, Baltimore; eight nieces and seven nephews. The funeral will be... Sunday from the Seventh Day Adventist Church. Elder D.E. Klam, Rome, officiating. Burial will be in Higginsville Cemetery. References
