Scott, against Frank Colella, Rome. The Scotts live in Blossvale. Judgment of $5,000 had been asked because of injuries to the boy, including a hip fracture, and $750 for damage to Northrup B. Leesburg Daily Commercial, 13 Feb 2008: ARETA J. WEST Areta J. West, 87, of Leesburg died Monday, Feb. 11, 2008 at Charlotte-Mayfield Retirement Center. She was born June 13, 1920, in Vienna, N.Y. and moved to Leesburg in 1982. Areta West retired from J.C. Penney and was a member of Bethany Lutheran Church. She is survived by two daughters, Elena (John) Ryan of Jordan, N.Y. and Marcia (Ron) Rodgers of Arcadia; one step-daughter, Martha (Phillip) LoGuialo of Brookfield Ctr., Conn.; one daughter-in-law, Janet Scott of Camden, N.Y.; 13 grandchildren.... She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin West; son, David Scott; and grandson, Todd Rogers; and beloved dog, Jiggs. Friends may call ... on Friday, Feb. 15, 2008 at Bethany Lutheran Church, Leesburg. Services will follow... with the Rev. Dr. Gary C. Genzen officiating.
