This obituary was provided by Janeen Proctor: Crawfordsville Journal Review- Fri July 26, 1991- pg 2- Helen Jackson May 15, 1909- July 25, 1991 Darlington- Helen N. Jackson, 82, of Darlington died Thursday in Culver Hospital. Mrs. Jackson was a homemaker and member of Darlington United Methodist Church and the church’s Circle 3. She was also a member of 4-M’s at Linden and had attended Veedersburg and Crawfordsville schools. She was born May 15, 1909, at Veedersburg to John and Lula Bond. She married Athel W. Jackson April 16, 1927, at Crawordsville. He died in 1982. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Don Charters of Crawfordsville ; a son Robert J. of Lafayette; 5 grandchildren; and nine great – grandchildren. She was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother. Services are scheduled for 10: 30 a.m. Saturday in the Burkhart Funeral Home’s Darlington Chapel with the Rev. David Rockhill officiating. Burial will be in the Greenlawn Cemetery. Friends may call 5-8 p.m. today at the chapel. Memorials may be made to the Darlington United Methodist Church.
