{geni:about_me} My grandmother told me that her mother had named her Jahaza when she was born, but the midwife got it wrong on the certificate and it came out as Hazel. Her friends, sisters and parents always called her "Jay" in spite of it all. She always wished she could change it to what her mom had wanted but never felt she could do that, once she was grown and married.
