  2. HARRIETT T.3 MARTIN (JOHN2, JAMES1) was born December 25, 1821 in Alabama, and died November 07, 1857 in Shelby County, Alabama. She married ALEXANDER M. POSEY March 26, 1844. He was born November 28, 1814 in Maryland, and died September 24, 1897 in Shelby County, Alabama.

    Alex and Harriett had 7 children and Harriett died following the birth of twin sons. John and Sarah Martin raised one twin, Richard B., while Posey kinfolks raised Mack. Alex, Harriett, and his 2nd wife, Nancy Clinkscales, are buried at Macedonia.

    Enlisted in the 3rd Alabama Reserves, Co. B on 4-15-1864 at Columbiana. He was discharged by the Medical Board in May 1864 and dropped from the roll. No indication of any active service.
