Died - In Hornellsville, April 28th, after a painful illness, Mrs. Harriet, wife of Oliver Coon, in the 40th year of her age. By this mandate of Providence her husband is bereaved of a kind and affectionate wife; seven children of a fond and tender mother; a numerous family connection, of a worthy and favorite member, and the church militant of a brilliant ornament. But they mourn not as those that mourn without hope. Since she espoused the cause of Christ, 15 years faithful devotedness have testified that she believed not in vain. She bore her last illness with a fortitude that evinced to all she was sustained by a power beyond an arm of flesh. In the prospect of death, she realized a release from her tabernacle of clay, and saw by faith a light dawning on the darkness of the grave which promised an immortal day.
