    Funeral services for Mr. Harold J. "Bo" Young were held Friday, July 23, at 2:00 PM, in the Community Church of Christ in Caruthersville with Mr. Noel Quinn, Jr., officiating. Burial was in the Pemiscot Memorial Gardens with the H. S. Smith Funeral Home in charge.

    Mr. Young was born in Steele on December 25, 1927, and died July 20, 1982, at 54. He attended schools in Caruthersville and Steele, graduating from Steele High School in the Class of 1945.

    On October 19, 1945, in Hayti, he was united in marriage to Miss Maxine Young.

    Mr. Young was inducted into the United States Army in Jefferson Barracks, MO, On February 13, 1946. He was with the 11th Airborn Division and received the Army of Occupation Medal of Japan. On July 23, 1947 in Fort Lawton, WA, Mr. young received his Honorable Discharge.

    He was engaged in farming and was owner of the Broadway Music Company of Caruthersville.

    Mr. Young was ahunter and fisherman and was a member of the Community Church of Christ.

    He leaves his wife, Mrs. Maxin Young of Caruthersville; two sons, Mr. Johnny Ray Young and Mr. Ricky Lee Young, both of Caruthersville; one daughter, Mrs. Mike Chaffin of Clarksdale, MS; one grandson, Mr. Michael Gray Young of Caruthersville; four granddaughters, Miss Katherine Young Chaffin of Clarksdale, MS, Miss Ann Alise Young of Caruthersville, Miss Courtney DeWeese Chaffin of Clarksdale, MS and Miss Laura Elizabeth Young of Caruthersville; his mother, Mrs. Emma Lou Tindale of Mount Vernon, MO and one sister, Mrs. Marvin Waldrop of Caruthersville.

    Pallbearers were William L. Ragland, Jerry Bain, Harold Fallert, C. R. Bradford, Cleatus Bailey, Lester Cecil and Howard Fike.

    Honorary pallbearers were employess of Broadway Music Company; Mr. & Mrs. Joe Tate, Mr. & Mrs. Charles Taylor and son, DAren, Mr. & Mrs. James Ford, Mr. & Mrs. Bill Shelby, Mr. Randy reeves, Mr. & Mrs. Billy Dodd, Mr. & Mrs. Bill Dawson, Mrs. Betty Hayden and son, Joe.
