    Mrs. Emma Lou Tindle, 83, of Caruthersville, Mo., died Tuesday, May 2, 1992 at Methodist Central Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.

    Daughter of the late John Payne and Maude Going Payne, she was born in Blytheville, Ark., on October 5, 1908. She attended schools in Blytheville and Pemiscot Bayou Community in Missouri.

    In 1927 at Blytheville she was united in marriage to Johnny Young. He preceded her in death in 1948. Their son, Harold "Bo" Young, also preceded her in death in July, 1982.

    Mrs. Tindle was a member of the Christian Church in Mount Vernon, Mo., and a Licensed Practical Nurse and worked for the State of Missouri at the hospital there until her retirement in 1978 when she moved back to Caruthersville.

    Mrs. Tindle leaves a daughter, Maxine Waldrop, of Caruthersville; Six
    grandchildren: Paul Chaffin of Clarksdale, Miss., and Randell Waldrop, Johnny Young, Steve Waldrop, Rick Young and Terry Waldrop, all of Caruthersville and nine great-grandchildren.

    Graveside services were held in Caruthersville for Mrs. Tindle on Monday, May 4, 1992, at 1:00 p.m. with the Rev. Bob Miller officiating.

    Burial was at Pemiscot Memorial Gardens in Caruthersville.

    Pallbearers were John Young, Rick Young, Mike Chaffin, Steve Waldrop, Terry Waldrop, and Randall Waldrop.
