HAROLD E. LEACH Feb. 26, 1933 - April 1, 2006 Published: Tuesday, April 04, 2006 -- The Truth, A5 Last updated: 4/3/2006 11:19:58 PM EDWARDSBURG -- Harold E. Leach, 73, of 26630 Pine Lake St., died Saturday (April 1, 2006) at Elkhart General Hospital. He was born Feb. 26, 1933, in Cass County, to the late Russell J. and Alberta (Tyler) Leach. On June 20, 1953, in Coldwater, Mich., he married the former Jacqueline L. "Jackie" Thompson. She died Aug. 9, 2001. He is survived by two daughters, Pam Allston of Edwardsburg and Debbie Christian of Springboro, Ohio; three grandchildren; two sisters, Virginia Prather of Elk Rapids, Mich., and Kathryn Coakley of Alma, Mich.; and one brother, David Leach of Grand Rapids. Friends may call a half hour prior to the 11 a.m. Thursday memorial service at St. David's Episcopal Church, Elkhart, Ind. The Rev. Henry G. Randolph Jr., pastor of the church, will officiate. Cremation will take place. Mr. Leach was a retired farmer and also had worked as a purchasing agent at Georgie Boy Manufacturing in Edwardsburg. He moved from Edwardsburg to Coldwater in 1953, before returning in 1974. He was a member of the Edwardsburg Conservation Club. Memorials may be given to St. David's Episcopal Church or the Alzheimer's Association. Connelly Funeral Home, 202 N. Broadway St., Cassopolis, is in charge of arrangements. |
