ALBERTA I. LEACH

EDWARDSBURG -- Friends of Alberta I. Leach may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Monday at Connelly Funeral Home in Cassopolis, where the service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday. Pastor Jeff Reese with Hope United Methodist Church will officiate, and burial will be at Prairie Grove Cemetery.

Mrs. Leach, 86, of Pine Lake Street, died at 11:55 p.m. Wednesday (Nov. 27, 2002) at Bortz Health Care Center in Traverse City, Mich., after an extended illness.

She was born in Milton Township on Dec. 15, 1915, to Albertus L. and Mary J. (Mohn) Tyler and married Russell J. Leach in Mishawaka on June 14, 1932.

She is survived by her husband; two daughters, Mrs. Tom (Virginia) Prather of Elk Rapids, Mich., and Mrs. Pat (Kathryn) Coakley of Alma, Mich.; two sons, Harold of Edwardsburg and David of Grand Rapids; seven grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and a sister, Kathryn Hunsberger of Three Rivers.

Mrs. Leach was a homemaker and a member of Hope United Methodist Church. She belonged to the Golden Agers Club and the Rebecca Circle and had served as a 4-H leader for 15 years in Cass County.

Memorials may be given to the church or Cass County Council on Aging.
