Jan. 7, 1933-Aug. 9, 2001 EDWARDSBURG -- Jacqueline L. Leach, 68, of 26630 Pine Lake St., died at 4:40 p.m. Thursday (Aug. 9, 2001) at Elkhart General Hospital after a brief illness. On Jan. 7, 1933, she was born in Coldwater to Charles and Margaret (Sumner) Thompson. She married Harold E. Leach on June 20, 1953, and he survives. Mrs. Leach also is survived by two daughters, Pam Allston of Edwardsburg and Mrs. Roger (Debbie) Christian of Springboro, Ohio; three grandchildren; and two sisters, Joann Johnson of Sturgis and Barbara Simonson of Nottawa. Friends may call one hour before the memorial service at 11 a.m. (Indiana time) Monday at St. David's Episcopal Church in Elkhart. The Rev. Henry C. Randolph Jr. will officiate. Cremation has taken place. Connelly Funeral Home in Cassopolis is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Leach moved to Edwardsburg from Coldwater in 1976. She was a retired bookkeeper and a self-employed tax preparer as well as a member of St. David's Episcopal Church. Memorials may be given to the church or the American Cancer Society.
